The Russian House in Yerevan handed over 2 340 textbooks for the School №122 named after Blok.
The project “Books for schools and universities of Armenia!” is being implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Humanitarian Mission on the initiative of the Federation Council.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Embassy and the City Hall attended the ceremony of handing over educational publications.
“The politicians of the two countries thought about this grandiose supply of textbooks. As they thought about your education, so you will think about the young generation in the future”, Victoria Deripasko, Deputy Head of the Russian House in Yerevan, addressed the participants of the ceremony.
According to Tamara Sargsyan, Head of the Department of General Education of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Russian textbooks have not been updated in the School №122 for a long time, so children were forced to study according to the old ones. The new editions have passed an important stage of expertise and meet all the requirements, Sargsyan stressed.
