The St. Petersburg Theater of Song and Dance “Moroshka” gave a concert in the capital of India. The entrance to the Russian House in New Delhi was free, but seats in the hall began to be “booked” an hour before the performance. By the beginning of the performance, not only all the chairs were occupied, but also the steps in the aisles between the rows.
Indians came to get acquainted with Russian folk art, including well–known political figures, compatriots and representatives of the diplomatic corps, among whom is Serbian Ambassador Sinisa Pavic. The concert program included 12 performances, including the Russian folk song “I went downhill”, the vocal and choreographic fantasy “Indian Lotus” and the romance “Bells”.
