On August 22, the International camp “Dialogue” opened in the Kaluga region. Activists from 23 countries will learn more about methods of intercultural communication, the role of international cooperation in the field of human rights protection, prevention of xenophobia, nationalism and extremism. Also, young guys will share with each other the experience of implementing such projects.
According to the chairman of the National Council of Youth and Children’s Associations of Russia Grigory Petushkov, it is always nice to hear the feedback of the grown-up camp participants. Many say that the “Dialogue” has actually changed their lives, taught them to listen and accept a different point of view.
Ekaterina Torubarova, Head of the Public Diplomacy Department of Rossotrudnichestvo, said that every day Russian Houses around the world work to maintain communication between people. She also stressed that there are similar initiatives at the municipal level. The activity of international departments of universities has intensified. “And the main goal of such work is to make friends with everyone. Young people have unlimited opportunities in this field”, Ekaterina Torubarova is sure.
