On December 8, the Unified Russian and Soviet Graduates’ Day was celebrated in Beijing. Organizers: the Russian House in Beijing and the Chinese Association of Russian (Soviet) university graduates.
The participants included representatives of the Russian Embassy, the Head of the Russian House in Beijing, Deputy Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Soviet and Russian university graduates as well as Russian students studying in Chinese universities.
“Our meeting after 10 years takes on a deeper meaning and today we should not only remember the past, but also take confident steps forward”, said Liu Limin, Chairman of the Chinese Association of Russian (Soviet) university graduates. He also emphasized the quality training of Chinese personnel in Russian universities. It should be noted that today Chinese Association of Russian (Soviet) university graduates has 4 000 members.
The guests listened to the speeches of different years alumni, passing the baton from the older to the younger ones. This was followed by a concert prepared by members of the Graduates Association and the Russian House in Beijing.
