On September 19, the first representative office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Middle East and North Africa was opened in the capital of Jordan with the support of the Russian House in Amman. The office is located in the residence of the Ibn Sina club of graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities.
The Russian delegation also held meetings with the Jordanian side. The leadership of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, headed by the Secretary General, member of the Public Council at Rossotrudnichestvo Andrey Belyaninov, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Alexandra Ochirova, Russian public figure Mikhail Khazin, as well as representatives of Russian educational organizations were part of the delegation.
The parties agreed to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science, as well as to hold a number of joint humanitarian events at partner sites and at the Russian House in Amman.
