The non-governmental Russian House in Ouagadougou is working with graduates of Soviet and Russian universities. And the first step in this direction is the creation of a conversation club. There are quite a lot of Burkinis who were educated in the USSR and Russia and they live not only in the capital, but also in Bobo-Dioulasso, Kudugu and other cities.
At the club’s meetings, graduates can practice the Russian language, discuss various issues, and exchange views on what is happening both inside the country and in the world.
Not only adults, but also the younger generation are showing interest in the Russian language. After receiving a large number of requests, a children’s group was opened. In three weeks, the guys have mastered the alphabet, can tell a little about themselves and even support a simple conversation.
