On March 1, with the support of the Russian House in Managua and the Russian Embassy in Nicaragua, the National Autonomous University hosted a series of events in honor of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade.
It was attended by 500 people, including students, teachers, university administration, Mayor Reina Rueda, representatives of the government, as well as creative circles of the country and others.
The guests were presented with a memorial mural dedicated to the hero cities of the Great Patriotic War. And then they watched the RT documentary “Leningrad. The spirit of resistance”.
On this day, the Russian House in Managua also opened a photo exhibition of the Victory Museum “Volleys over the Neva”. In the future, the exposition will be presented in branches of the National University in other regions of the country.
