More than 600 Laotians attended a concert by Russian art groups “Turetsky Choir” and Soprano in Vientiane. Among them are heads of government agencies, cultural and artistic figures, and ambassadors of foreign countries.
“The concert turned out to be very colorful and memorable. Laos is not spoiled by the attention of Russian artists, especially of such a high level, and therefore the public accepted their arrival with great gratitude and delight”, noted the head of the Russian House in Vientiane, Alexander Radkov.
Folk and Soviet patriotic songs were performed at the concert, many of which are well known and loved in Laos. “You can say that the whole country sang with our artists. The Minister of Culture danced the “Kalinka” with the group, one of the generals went up on stage and began singing Russian songs with our artists, and the Cuban Ambassador to Laos joined the fiery dances of the Soprano soloists”, Radkov said.
The tours of Russian performers are organized by Rossotrudnichestvo, the Moscow Government, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russia-Laos Friendship Society.
