On October 12, Minsk will host the international forum “History for the future. Russia and Belarus”. The event is dedicated to uniting the efforts of the two countries in preserving common history and cultural values. Special attention will be paid to work with young people.
The participants will attend the plenary session “Russia and Belarus facing new challenges and threats”, the talk show “IsolentaLive”, as well as thematic discussion and educational platforms:
- “Information front: winner’s strategy”;
- “History code: state policy on the preservation of historical memory”;
- “Memory code: ideological function of history”;
- “Code of the future: how our ideas about the past affect the present”;
- “The Nazi genocide of the USSR peoples: models, design, implementation”.
The forum is organized by the Russian Military Historical Society and the Belarusian Society “Knowledge” with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Embassy of Russia, the Russian Society “Knowledge”.
