From June 16 to 21, the project “Mission Dobro” was held in Bishkek. Children with disabilities were examined by the chief physician Oksana Kovalenok and the neurologist, the head of the direction of physical therapy and rehabilitation of the Marfo-Mariinsky medical Center “Mercy” Andrey Gorlov. During this time, they consulted patients and conducted training seminars for rehabilitologists in Bishkek, Tokmok and Belovodsky.
“Our task is to provide real assistance to colleagues from Kyrgyzstan and parents of children with disabilities”, Oksana Kovalenok said. – Our center has been rehabilitating children for more than 10 years. We teach patients useful skills that will be useful to them in everyday life. Cerebral palsy cannot be cured, but we are fighting to make the lives of children with this diagnosis better”.
The Russian House in Bishkek and the Association of Volunteer Centers are implementing the “Mission Dobro” project with the participation of the Synodal Missionary Department of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Uplift Foundation (Kyrgyzstan).
