On 16 March, the Sputnik Belarus press centre hosted a round table on the theme “Crimean spring: historical, humanitarian and cultural aspects. View from Belarus”.
The participants of the videoconference talked about the causes and consequences of the “Crimean spring” for the inhabitants of the peninsula, Russia, and the world community in general.
The Head of the Russian House in Minsk Yuri Makushin emphasised: “The day of Crimea’s reunification with Russia is a significant date for all of us. The representative office is permanently involved in promoting the tourist and economic potential of the peninsula. Every year under the programmes “Hello, Russia!” and “New Generation” ambitious young people and young professionals from Belarus travel to the regions of Russia, including visits to Crimea, make new friends and like-minded people”.
Besides, during the event they discussed the plans and prospects for the development of the Republic of Crimea, objective problems of the peninsula and ways to solve them.
