On June 30, the Public Council at Rossotrudnichestvo summed up the results of the Agency’s work for the first half of 2022.
The Russian Houses in the post-Soviet countries have changed the format of work. The main directions are interaction with public opinion leaders, activation of representation in social networks, involvement of experts and media, implementation of activities understandable to young people.
Special attention is now being paid to the international development assistance (IDA). A special commission under the Public Council deals with issues of international development assistance. From July it will be headed by Denis Degtyarev. Denis is a professor, Head of the Department of Theory and History of International Relations at RUDN, Doctor of Political and Candidate of Economic Sciences. He has been working in this field since 2008 and has tremendous experience.
The meeting also touched upon the issues of state certification of Agency employees, the plan for the Days of the Public Council and the situation with the Rossotrudnichestvo website. The participants also discussed the study on the situation of the Russian language in the world, agreed on a separate meeting to improve the methodology and make the project more applied.
The Chairman of the Public Council, Igor Chaika, thanked all the participants for their active work at the meeting and during the first six months of the year, and also expressed hope that in the time before the next meeting, the Agency will be able to move forward in the implementation of all planned projects.
