On January 18, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations aircraft delivered 33 tons of food to Afghanistan. The cargo is intended for local residents who are in a difficult life situation.
The delivery was provided by Kazbek Farniev, Adviser to the head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs, Chairman of the Volgograd “House of Friendship”, and Abdul Manan Sher Ali, Chairman of the Afghan National Cultural Autonomy of Volgograd. Support was provided by Feruz Rona, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the VOO “House of Friendship”.
This is the third humanitarian mission of the NGO “House of Friendship” to Afghanistan. The first departure was in September 2023. Then two planes with food and medicines were sent. The second trip took place in November. About 50,000 local residents were fed in the provinces of Kandahar, Herat, Jalabad and Paktia as part of the “Peoples together through the years” campaign.
The event is supported by Rossotrudnichestvo and the “Russia is with you” project, which tells foreign citizens about the activities of the Russian Federation in the field of international development assistance.
