On October 26, with the support of the Russian House in Dhaka and the Dagestan State Pedagogical University named after Gamzatov, a Russian educational center was opened at the capital University of Bangladesh. Russians will be able to learn the Russian language, get acquainted with Russian culture and traditions there. The classes will be conducted by leading teachers of the national university.
“Russia makes an important contribution to various sectors, including education and socio-economic development of Bangladesh”, said the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University.
“There was an eternal mutual bond and sympathy between Russia and Bangladesh in 1971, when the Soviet Union supported Bengal’s struggle for independence”, stressed Pavel Dvoichenkov, Head of the Russian House in Dhaka.
Learning Russian will also help you get a scholarship from the Russian government to study at Russian universities.
