The giant complex in the port of Novorossiysk of the United Grain Company PJSC “Novorossiysk Bakery Plant” became the final working day for journalists from the Congo, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia, Syria.
The main activity of the enterprise is transshipment of grain crops for export by water transport. This is the so-called export elevator. Grain from it goes to various countries of the world. Tunisia and Cameroon, Israel and Pakistan, Burkina Faso and Cuba are among the long list.
Evgeny Sutchenko, Deputy General Director for Production, conducted a tour for journalists and spoke about the specifics of the company’s work.
“Well, power!” the Russian-speaking guests from Kyrgyzstan and Turkey said with delight, looking up and examining the huge columns of the elevator.
“Do you manage to try your products?” the journalists asked with interest.
“We have a flour milling complex, we have our own store. Our flour is without additives and we cook at home only from our own flour”, the journalists were assured at the production site. There is a clear and uncompromising struggle for quality. Several stages of control are necessary to keep the brand.
Even the most experienced foreign journalists were surprised by the flow of information provided by the host country. And of course, everyone was struck by the rapid change not only of cities, but also of weather and landscapes.
Most importantly, representatives of friendly countries will now be able to convey first-hand information about the prospects for the development of world food security.
The press tour took place from December 11 to 15, the main topic of which was ensuring food security in the world. The journalists also attended the round table “Grain as a tool for realizing Russia’s export potential abroad” in Moscow, JSC “St. Petersburg Tractor Plant” and JSC “Tauras-Phoenix” in St. Petersburg.
