The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Government of Nicaragua have agreed on co-operation.
The document was signed on 17 January in Managua by Sergey Glazyev, Minister of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC, and Hesus Bermudez, Minister of Industry and Trade of Nicaragua.
The agreement touches upon co-operation in customs and technical regulation, industry, agro-industry, consumer protection and others.
“Nicaragua and the states of the Eurasian Economic Union have traditionally strong ties on a wide agenda, and it is quite logical that given the active development of the processes of Eurasian economic integration and positive examples of the Commission’s interaction with other partners in Latin America and the Caribbean, we have entered into a direct dialogue with the Government of Nicaragua”, said Sergey Glazyev.
