Russian Seasons Dance Company will stage in Washington for Russian mission to IMF

The Russian Seasons Dance Company, which is one of the best Russian dance groups and a part of the Moscow State Folklore Theater "Russian Song" under the direction of people’s artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina, will perform for Russian mission to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington at the invitation of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Washington.

Nikolai Androsov, artistic director of the company, said, “It’s our first experience of cooperation with this Center. They asked us if we could come, and we gladly agreed. Performance for fellow citizens is always honorable and joyful.”

Russian Seasons is a frequent guest to the USA – the company regularly comes to this country for 20 years of 25 years of group’s existence. The current stage tour is the anniversary one for the group. Artists will visit 11 American cities in total.

The group prepared special program “Triumph of world’s folk dances” for the IMF, it consists of folk dances from various nations. The aim of the performance for the group is to make people leave after performance on a good note, in good spirits. This performance is a great time of joy and festivity and it represents Russian school of folk dance, which has established itself as such type of show
