A monument to heroic fellow villagers restored in Moldavian Iserlia

On July 12, the Iserlia village of the Basarabeasca region hosted an inaugural ceremony for the restored monument to heroic fellow villagers, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, who sacrificed their lives in the struggle against Nazism.

The Moscow Government had provided a considerable part of funding for the restoration of the monument. The event was attended by the attaches of the Russian Embassy in Moldova Alexandra Abramova and Kirill Abramov, acting head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office Andrei Kibirev, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Moldova Viktor Gaychuk, chairman of the Coordinating Council of Russian compatriots Alexei Petrovich and local authorities.
