Russia and Japan will hold a cross-cultural year

During the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Japan, Rossotrudnichestvo representative office organized a set of meeting, in the course of which 2018 was proclaimed a cross-cultural year.

Ministry of Cultural Affairs Vladimir Medinsky and Special representative Mikhail Shvidkoy met with Japanese Vise-Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Shigeki Suzuki, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Hirokazu Matsuno. They discussed state and prospects of Russian-Japanese cooperation in 2017-2018 years, especially application of the latest Japanese videotechnology in Russian theaters and museums.

The previous day, the closing ceremony of the 11-th Festival of Russian Culture in Japan took place in the Tokyo Opera, one of the best concert halls in Japan.
