The model of the St. Sava Temple dome will be displayed at the Russian House in Belgrade

The model of the St. Sava Temple dome was sent from Russia to Serbia. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, the model will be placed in the exhibition complex of the Russian Cultural Centre in Belgrade, where everyone will be able to see it. The preparations for this unique event is at the final stage: a platform for the exposure of the dome and mosaics is almost prepared. Also in the representation of Rossotrudnichestvo will be organized on-line broadcast of the work carried out in the temple.

On October 8, the participants of the projects form Russian and Serbian sides held a joint meeting discussing on the interior decoration of the temple. During the meeting led by the Serbian Patriach were worked out mechanisms of interaction between the parties in the framework of the restoration work.

An agreement on the implementation of the mosaic decoration of the main dome of the temple was singed in the presence of Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, chairman of the Fund for the construction of the Saint Sava Temple and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić, the director of Rossotrudnichestvo Liubov Glebova and "Gazprom Neft" representatives on August 30 at the residence of the President of Serbia in Belgrade.

Saint Sava Temple in Belgrade is one of the grandest Orthodox churches in the world. Its construction started more than a hundred year ago. On behalf of the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Rossotrudnichestvo became the general coordinator of interior decoration works in the temple since 2015. Funds will be raised from non-government Russian companies with business in Serbia.
