Are you between 25 and 35 years old? Are you young and ambitious? Are you interested in politics or social activities? Are you a specialist in science or culture, media or sports? The "New Generation" program gives you a unique opportunity to become a part of the unique youth Russian program, implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo. This is an opportunity not only to visit and discover Russia, but also to establish professional contacts, build long-term partnerships with Russian governmental and non-governmental structures, youth and public organizations.
What is the "New Generation"?
It is the leading youth presidential program implemented by the Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo since 2011 on an annual basis. The program is aimed at creating conditions for sustainable dialogue between young professionals from Russia and other countries. Under this Program, young foreign representatives of public circles, mass media, diplomacy, science and culture take part in events in the format of international educational and dialogue sessions, trainings and special workshops, sports and cultural events held in the Russian Federation. Over the past 9 years, more than 7 000 active young leaders from more than 130 countries have been able to take part in the program of short-term study visits to Russia.
Participation in the "New Generation" is a chance to see the breadth and diversity of Russia's regions, the identity of Russian cities with their own traditions and culture. For all the years of the Program existence, the events have been held in different parts of Russia: from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Thus, in 2019 over 1000 representatives of 110 foreign countries were able to visit more than 20 Russian cities.
Each project is a unique event with its own individual business and cultural program, developed by Rossotrudnichestvo in close cooperation with a wide range of partners. The travel program includes meetings with figures of science and culture, representatives of leading news agencies, visits to government agencies and public organizations, as well as an intensive cultural program, during which members of delegations learn about the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Russia. For example, last year, as part of their visits to Moscow and St. Petersburg, young leaders took part in such key international events such as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the II Parliamentary Development Forum and the III Global Forum of Young Diplomats. The participants had the opportunity to meet with top Russian authorities and attend the events attended by President Vladimir Putin.
The main partners of the Program are traditionally the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the "Rossiya Segodnya" Agency, "Russia Beyond", State Duma and Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Russian Rafting Federation, NRC "Kurchatov Institute", Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI), Russian Parliamentary European Club. In addition, in 2019 for the first time the events were organized in cooperation with "Russian Geographical Society", Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, BRICS Youth Energy Agency and others.
