Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Military Historical Society signed a cooperation agreement

On August 6, the ceremony of signing the Cooperation Agreement between the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, compatriots living abroad and international humanitarian cooperation and the Russian Military Historical Society took place.

According to the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Eleonora Mitrofanova, the signed Agreement will become the basis for effective joint activities in various areas, priority among which will be coordination of efforts to counter the falsification of history, work with memorial graves. “This is an important moment, especially on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory. We finally joined forces. The materials that RMHS possesses are extensive, we can use them for events, exhibitions in order to counter the falsification of history”, said Eleonora Mitrofanova.

Vladimir Medinsky, Chairman of the Russian Military-Historical Society, emphasized that Rossotrudnichestvo is a permanent partner of RMHS and the two organizations “have a lot of common themes in all areas”.

"Representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo are situated all over the world, including in those countries where military-historical events took place, where memorials to our soldiers are preserved, military graves, where it is important and necessary to work to counter the falsification of history and perpetuate the memory of our soldiers", noted Vladimir Medinsky.

The agreement between RMHS and Rossotrudnichestvo will formalize cooperation between the parties in the field of preserving the monuments and places of the Russian military-historical heritage on the territory of foreign states and will serve as an incentive for the development of new areas of international cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.
