During this special event, foreign delegates had an opportunity to discuss questions on the current international youth agenda. The educational event started with “Young Leaders in the Era of Global Changes” discussion where young representatives of Brazil, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, and South Africa talked about their projects and their progress.
Theme-specific meetings also provided a space for lively dialogue and exchange of experience - there delegates presented their own projects in a variety of fields. For instance, during “Friends of Social Entrepreneurship” discussion, guests from Armenia, Latvia, India, and other countries told about their experience of projects supporting refugees, providing equal opportunities for the youth, notwithstanding of their area of living, ways for addressing different social issues, etc. The “Friends of Technologies” discussion examined new technological projects, their influence on youth consolidation, and their commercialization.
Young leaders could also present their work at “Science, Education, and Business: The Strategy for Cooperation” sharing new ways of teaching and ways to make education more accessible to different social strata. The active debate also occurred at the “Friends of Cities” and “Friends of Sustainable Development” meetings.
Apart from educational meetings, the delegates of the New Generation also attended formal meetings with government officials and experts, including the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Eleonora Mitrofanova, Russia’s G20 Sherpa Svetlana Lukash, and Alexander Bugayev, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
On the final day of the forum, the guests attended “Innovation Cooperation in the CIS” meeting. Held by Rossotrudnichestvo, the event saw the presence of Eleonora Mitrofanova as well as representatives of science, business, and authorities from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and other countries.
The participants of the “Friends for Leadership” program also had a rich cultural program. They had a tour around one of the most famous museums of the world - the Hermitage, went on an evening boat cruise, and even enjoyed a concert of Italian and Russian opera singers - Andrea Bocelli and Aida Garifullina.
