In 2014, Rossotrudnichestvo launched a new project Joint Alumni Day aimed at developing and strengthening of mutually beneficial relations with the representatives of political, social, scientific and business circles of foreign countries from foreign graduates of Russian (Soviet) universities .
Russian Centers of Science and Culture and Rossotrudnichestvo foreign representative offices conduct events dedicated to the Joint Alumni Day.
The project received support from the Russian Embassies abroad, as well as various associations of foreign graduates of Soviet and Russian universities. The opening ceremonies of the project, which have been already held in the representative offices of Rossotrudnichestvo in Jordan, Morocco, Poland, India, Vietnam, Bulgaria and other countries, were attended as guests of honor by outstanding graduates of the Soviet Union and Russian universities, among which there were prominent public officials, diplomats, scholars, artistic intelligentsia and many other representatives of foreign countries who have achieved great success and recognition in the world. The events were also attended by representatives of leading Russian universities, who use this opportunity to keep in touch with their foreign graduates.
Various activities of the project that have started this year in autumn and have already sparked a great interest of foreign and Russian communities will be held on an annual basis.
